Today was a fun day spent in the fibre house. There is always lots to be done, and the kitties enjoy helping. In the quest to create unique and beautiful items from alpaca fibre, I have be making pebble rugs.

These rugs are created by felting alpaca fibre into irregular shaped "pebbles", then attaching them to a rug backing. In this case, only natural colours were used, but with dying the fibre as an option, the sky is the limit as to what to create next.

These rugs are soft under your feet and wear well. They are easy to clean, simply soak them in warm water for several minutes.
